Contains the following types of materials: photographs, postcards, photo albums. Covers the following war: World War II (WWII). Contains photographs of the following military units and organizations: U.S. Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), Company 236 and 1208; 461st Counter Intelligence Corps (CIC) Detachment; Persian Gulf Command. General description of the collection: The Sidney Gruneck photograph collection includes pictorial material in basically three catagories: Civilian Conservation Corps at camps in New York State; the Persian Gulf Command showing photos of buildings and activities of the American and Russian occupants in Iran; and photos of the Soviet Union where Gruneck traveled both on military business and sightseeing. Another album of totally unrelated photos to anything of a military nature are photographs of Hawaii.
